The Seoul Fine Arts Association (President Jongmoo Jun) will host the “Seoulism: An Exhibition of Seoul Contemporary Art in LA” at Gallery Western (Director Junghee Lee) in LA’s Koreatown from July 11 to 17.
The Seoul Fine Arts Association has been dedicated to supporting the exhibition activities of promising new artists and promoting Korean art both domestically and internationally through various exchange exhibitions. Their efforts aim to expand the base of contemporary art.
Since 2018, the association has organized exhibitions to highlight the works of Korean artists globally, with previous exhibitions held at the Korean Cultural Centers in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Chicago. This year, they have selected 50 talented artists to showcase 50-60 pieces, including paintings, traditional Korean paintings, and Oriental paintings.
“This exhibition coincides with the regular exhibition of the Korean Artists Association of Southern California, providing a meaningful opportunity for artists active in both the United States and Korea to exchange and communicate their artistic worlds,” said Jun of the Seoul Fine Arts Association.
The Seoul Fine Arts Association continues to transcend regional boundaries, sharing the artistic value of contemporary art culture and striving for the globalization of Seoul’s contemporary art through ongoing creative activities under the banner of “Seoulism.”
The opening reception will take place on July 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Location: 210 N. Western Ave. #201, LA
