Koreatown plastic surgery clinics offer summer discounts during peak season

With the summer vacation season in full swing, Los Angeles Koreatown plastic surgery and skincare clinics have begun to offer special deals.

According to the clinics in Koreatown, the number of inquiries generally increases by 20 to 40 percent during the summer compared to the usual, prompting many clinics to offer discounts to attract customers.

Summer is particularly a peak season for these procedures because it allows enough time for patients to recover before returning to school or work. For the popular double eyelid surgery, the swelling usually subsides in three months, while rhinoplasty, a plastic surgery for the nose, takes about a month for initial swelling to go down, with the remaining swelling fading between three to six months. Skin or laser treatments require several sessions to be effective, making summer vacation an ideal time for those who don’t have much free time otherwise, according to the clinics.

At Line Plastic Surgery, rhinoplasty is typically priced around $7,500 but is currently being offered at a $500 discount. Ultherapy treatment, effective for tightening the jawline and improving the double chin, is promoted at $1,500 and comes with one free double chin lipolysis treatment.

“The prices of procedures and surgical promotions change every month, so we recommend inquiring directly to the clinics for questions,” said a representative from Line Plastic Surgery.

Julie Kim, head of the consultants at ID Medical, noted, “Especially this summer, the number of laser hair removal customers has increased significantly. The number of laser hair removal patients among young people has more than tripled recently.”

At ID Medical, laser hair removal is available at a 30% discount for six or more sessions. A single laser underarm treatment costs $50, but for six sessions, the price is $210. “Full face” treatment is priced at $150 for one session and $525 for six. Other popular treatments include Ultherapy and Shurink, which are less painful and have a shorter recovery time. Botox and filler treatments are also available at discounted prices.

Acne treatment is the most in-demand procedure at VIP Plastic Surgery. Through August 15, the price of basic acne treatment is discounted by 20% to $299, customized acne treatment to $499, and acne and scar treatment to $999.

“In the hot and humid summer months, wound healing and skin recovery can be slowed down due to strong ultraviolet rays, and the risk of infection increases due to more frequent sweating, so sun protection and proper care are essential after cosmetic procedures,” said Jisun Park, manager of Line Plastic Surgery.

According to plastic surgeons in Koreatown, there are many teenage female customers during the summer vacation season, with the most popular plastic surgery procedure being double eyelid surgery. Men in their 20s are more likely to choose Botox for the jaw, rhinoplasty, and ptosis repair as they seek to make a favorable impression when meeting new people.
