576,000 Roku user information stolen, second data breach in just a month

TV streaming company Roku’s user data has been stolen.

The company announced that a cyberattack had compromised 576,000 customer account login data on April 12.

Roku said all affected customers will be notified, and their passwords will be reset automatically. This is the second data breach in just about a month.

In March, Roku disclosed that hackers gained access to 15,000 accounts and their credit card information.

Some reported that the hackers attempted to make purchases such as streaming subscriptions through stolen information.
