When the initial results were announced at around 8:20 p.m., showing Lee with 62 percent of the vote, his victory became immediately apparent, prompting him and his supporters to erupt in cheers.

Lee’s substantial lead over the second-place candidate was so significant that he promptly delivered a victory speech. ‘District 12 is home to me, where I’ve lived for 40 years,’ Lee stated. ‘We have a diverse community, including Korean Americans, Black people, Armenians, Hispanics, and others. Despite our differences, we are united, and I am committed to serving our residents to the best of my ability for the next four years.
