Open Bank, under the leadership of CEO Min Kim, established its presence in Las Vegas, Nevada, becoming the first Korean American bank to open a branch there.

The Los Angeles-based Korean American commercial bank unveiled its new branch office on August 28 at Spring Mountain(5599 Spring Mountain Rd, Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89146).

This latest addition marks Open Bank’s 11th branch, and notably, its second outside California, following one in Texas.

Bank officials note the continuous growth of the Korean American community in Las Vegas. Alongside this demographic trend, Korean American businesses in the area are on the rise. The new branch aims to capitalize on this, broadening Open Bank’s clientele in the region and enhancing its sales network.

Furthermore, the bank intends to serve Asian entrepreneurs, benefiting from the branch’s strategic location in a Las Vegas area renowned for its robust Chinese and Asian business activities.

Branch Manager Julie Kim is in charge of operating the new branch, who has 13 years of experience in loan and deposit services at local Chinese banks.

The Spring Mountain branch will boast a dedicated team of four, operating in a spacious 2,650-square-foot facility.

“Our expansion into the Las Vegas area stands as evidence of the burgeoning Korean American banking community. We are eager to cater to the requirements of the local Korean American populace,” said Min Kim, president and CEO of Open Bank.

To celebrate this expansion, Open Bank will host a grand opening event for the Spring Mountain branch. This event, set for 10 a.m. on September 1, will see the attendance of bank authorities and esteemed local figures.
