BTS’s V tops iTunes charts with self-written songs before album release on Sept. 8

Three songs BTS’s V wrote are topping iTunes charts in at least 20 countries, BigHit Music said Tuesday.

“Winter Bear” (2019), “Snow Flower (feat. Peakboy)” (2020) and “Scenery” (2021), which were initially available on SoundCloud, were added to paid music streaming services on Monday.

“Winter Bear” has topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 45 countries, including Japan, France and Finland, as of 9 a.m. Tuesday.

“Snow Flower” is No. 1 in 37 nations, including Sweden, Greece and Turkey, and “Scenery” in 21 nations, including Singapore and Vietnam.

The three songs are also at the top of the Worldwide iTunes Song chart in the order above.

V is set to release his first solo album “Layover” on Sept. 8. The album consists of the lead track “Slow Dancing,” along with songs “Rainy Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “For Us” and a piano remix of “Slow Dancing.”

The singer is also set to appear in an upcoming episode of the SBS variety show “Running Man” on Sept. 10.
