A Korean American woman, Dami Kim, 39, has been missing for a month in Northern California, prompting an intensive search by local authorities. On August 17, the San Mateo Police Department released a photo of Kim, asking for the public’s assistance in the ongoing investigation.
Kim was last spotted walking her dog, Curry, near her residence at Bridgepointe Apartments around 9:30 p.m. on July 12. At the time of this sighting, she also reportedly contacted a friend. However, neither Kim nor her dog has been seen since. Concerned about her unexplained absence, the friend filed a missing person’s report on July 19.
The apartment complex, situated near downtown San Mateo, is in an upscale neighborhood. Local media outlet Golden Gate Media quoted Kim’s friend, emphasizing that it was unusual for Kim to leave and not return. This has led some media sources to describe her sudden disappearance while walking her dog as an “elusive mystery.”
Kim stands at 5 feet 2 inches and weighs around 105 pounds. Curry, her pet, is a light brown toy poodle. Before settling in San Mateo, Kim resided in both Orange County and Los Angeles.
