SM Entertainment will release a song to raise awareness about climate change through an upcoming album “2022 Winter SM Town: SMCU Palace.”

Set for release on Dec. 26, at 6 p.m., the album’s lead track “The Cure” is an upbeat pop song whose lyrics depict various issues in modern society such as sustainability and global warming, according to SM’s press release on Monday. The music is intended to console people on Earth and move forward in solidarity.

SM Entertainment formed an environmental, social, and corporate governance council in May. In June, it became the first Korean entertainment agency to join the United Nations Global Compact.

“Beautiful Christmas” is another lead track of “2022 Winter SM Town: SMCU Palace” and was released ahead of the album on Dec. 14.

With girl groups Red Velvet and aespa as singers, the song is a bright carol that is about how the best times are with people that one loves and values the most.

SM Entertainment is one of Korea’s largest entertainment companies, along with HYBE, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment.
