Globally loved chocolate wafer snack, Kit Kat is opening its flagship store in Seoul, Korea.
The upcoming store is launched by Nestle Japan, in cooperation with Nestle Korea. The Swedish snack company’s Japanese branch is known for its exclusive “Kit Kat Chocolatory,” where unique Kit Kat flavors and desserts made of the chocolate-covered wafers are available.
The store to open in Shinsegae Department Store’s Gangnam location is expected to be visited by many, as flavors that previously were available exclusively from the Tokyo store will become available.
Currently, Nestle Japan’s Premium Kit Kat is one of the most popular souvenirs Koreans purchase in Japan. The exclusive series of flavors, which is launched in cooperation with renowned Japanese pastry chef Yasumasa Takagi, takes its theme from local specialty products of Japan. Some of the flavors include Kyoto’s Matcha Green Tea and Hokkaido’s Melon.
As the original flavors like milk chocolate and dark chocolate are the only flavors currently available in Korea, the variety of Japan’s Premium Kit Kat products is expected to draw a crowd.
In addition to the exclusive flavors, signature desserts like handcrafted Kit Kats and “Ice Kit Kats” will be available from the flagship store in Seoul.
Kit Kat Flagship store in Seoul will open to the public on October 26.
