L.A. Trade Academy Accepting Applications

The World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders in Los Angeles (Okta LA) is partnering with Korean Investors and Traders (KITA) and Korean American Customs & Trade Study Forum(KACTS) to host the L.A. Trade Academy for the third time on Oct. 5.

The academy, to be held between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Oxford Palace Hotel in L.A. Koreatown, aims to boost the economy in the Korean-American community while strengthening the competence of Koreans in the trade market and educating them on managing risks.

This year’s lectures will include ▶marketing through social media ▶distribution online by utilizing Amazon Marketplace ▶working as a trader ▶custom.

Applications are available on a first come, first serve basis for 50 students. The enrollment fee is $60.

“The Trade Academy is a business that Okta LA is conducting as one of its core activities,” said Okta LA president Jung-suk Lim. “The lectures will be based on contents that will help people in the business. I expect the event to help them run their businesses.”
