An argument led to a fatal stabbing in a metro station at LA Koreatown. The victim died at the spot and the suspect was arrested.
According to the LA County Sheriff, the stabbing occurred on the 5th at about 4:45PM. There was an argument between two men at Wilshire/Normandie station that eventually led to a stabbing. The suspect, a 62 year old man, stabbed the victim’s upper body multiple times and immediately fled to a nearby bathroom at Carls Jr. The sheriff persuaded the suspect to come out of the bathroom, and then arrested the suspect. The suspect is currently booked on suspicion of murder and is being held in lieu of $2 million.
The victim’s name is yet unknown.
The station was closed as a result of the attack. Purple Line service is expected to return to normal soon, according to the LA Metro social media account.
