The Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) is now accepting applications for scholarships for university or graduate school students majoring in science or medical related studies.
For four-year university students, applicants must have completed two semesters or three quarters. A scholarship of $1,000 will be provided to 20 four-year university students, while 20 other applicants attending graduate schools will be granted $1,500. The scholarships are available via partnership with the Korea-US Science Cooperation Center (KUSCO)
The recipients will be announced in May. Among them, graduate students will be invited to the UKC 2017, an annual conference for Korean-American scientists and engineers, in Washington D.C. in August. The deadline for applications is March 31. Applicants must include a transcript, two letters of recommendation and an essay written in English along with the application form.
The KSEA selects scholarship recipients based on their academic performances, essays, letters of recommendation and volunteer experience. Applications and additional information are available on the KSEA website (http://www.scholarship.ksea.org).
