The 2026 Hyundai Palisade was unveiled during a preview event for Asian media on March 26 at Honeypot LA in Downtown Los Angeles, ahead of its official debut at the New York International Auto Show, scheduled from April 18 to 27.
Under the theme “Bigger, Better, Further,” the fully redesigned SUV introduces major upgrades in design, performance, and technology, including Hyundai’s first hybrid version of the Palisade and a new off-road-focused XRT PRO trim.

Expanded size and refined design
The 2026 model is 2.5 inches longer, with a 2.7-inch longer wheelbase, enhancing third-row passenger comfort. The exterior features vertical LED daytime running lights, a larger grille, and a lower aerodynamic shutter, giving the SUV a bold and commanding appearance.

Premium interior with new tech features
Drawing inspiration from luxury home interiors, the Palisade’s cabin features upscale materials and finishes. The updated layout includes dual 12.3-inch displays, a horizontal dashboard, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, and Relaxation seats in the first and second rows.
Two powertrains, including a new hybrid option
The SUV offers two powertrains. The gasoline model comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine generating up to 287 horsepower. The hybrid version pairs a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with two electric motors, delivering a combined 329 horsepower and an estimated range of up to 619 miles. The hybrid model offers a combined fuel economy of over 30 MPG.

XRT PRO: Hyundai’s first off-road trim
The new XRT PRO trim is tailored for off-road use, featuring 8.4-inch ground clearance, front and rear tow hooks, terrain mode, and a tilt angle display. The trim also includes unique wheels, dark grille accents, XRT badging, and exclusive color schemes inside and out.
Launch timeline
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is expected to go on sale this summer, with the hybrid version arriving in the fall for the Korean market.
